Accommodation during the Kenshu Taiko Residency is not included.
However, there are numerous accommodation possibilities throughout the area, including three which we highly recommend to all taiko course participants who visit.
If you are planning to book accommodation at Misaka Ryokan, we are able to help with your first booking only.

Please note that if you wish to change dates, cancel, accommodation venues, etc., you will need to contact them directly to do so. You will also need to pay directly upon arrival at the accommodation.

The Silk Hotel is one of Iida City's most popular hotels because of it's location in the heart of Iida City and very close to the main Highway Bus and JR Train station. Also, it has been very recently renovated and includes buffet-style breakfast.

Yamairo Guesthouse

The Yamairo Guesthouse is located just a two-minute walk from Yawata Train Station, which has a direct connection to JR Iida Station. This is a very new guesthouse, is very reasonably priced and is run by an English-speaking owner. It is possible to book your stay here over the AirB&B website.

Misaka Ryokan

Misaka Ryokan is the preferred accommodation choice by most participants to workshops by Tokara. This family-owned Japanese Inn is run by Noriyo and Kikumi Toyama. They provide some of the best breakfasts in the area and are keen to meet taiko players from around the world as he is also a taiko player.
Located in Hirugami Onsen Resort, travel to the practice venue is 30 minutes by bus or it is possible to park a rented car.
