The
Saiwai Butai Festival
The Saiwai Butai Festival is an indoor fringe performance festival
which starts from 11:00a.m. in the Iida Ningyo Gekiyo, an intimate
200 seat theater just next door to the Culture Theater. The
festival will feature groups from in and around Iida City, as
well as groups wishing to participate from around Japan and other
countries. Altogether, 12 groups will be able to perform
for up to 15 minutes each during the festival.
There will also be two workshops
during the Saiwai Butai Festival.
Tickets for the Saiwai Butai Festival are only available at-the-door.
The Super Show
The 2008 Saiwai Shimoina Super Show promises to
be one of the most spectacular events in Shimoina with powerful
performance from the two most prominent groups in Nagano Prefecture,
Wadaiko Ensemble Tokara and Gokasen. The 2008 Super Show
brings a rare and unique experience to Japan as Ragamala Dance
and Music Theater make their Japan debut. The concert finishes
with SVA, the critically acclaimed collaboration between Wadaiko
Ensemble TOKARA and Ragamala Dance and Music Theater.
The Super Show will begin at 7:00p.m. in the Iida Bunka Kaikan
Theater Grand Hall to an audience of 1,300.
